Garment Tech Tradeshow GTB 25, Garment Accessories, Packaging Tradeshow GAP Expo begin

ASK Tradeshows & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd jointly with Bangladesh Garment Accessories & Packaging Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) have organised 22nd edition of Largest and the most comprehensive Garment Technology Tradeshow in Bangladesh GTB 25 concurrent with 14th edition of largest Garment Accessories & Packaging Tradeshow GAP Expo 2025.
An inauguration ceremony was held at International Convention City, Bashundhara, Dhaka this morning. 500 exhibitors from 25 countries have participated in this show spread over 8 halls.
On Wednesday (January 8), at 11 AM, the inauguration ceremony was held at the Mezzanine floor of Hall Number 4, ICCB. The Honorable Advisor to the Ministry of Commerce, Textiles, and Jute, Sk. Bashir Uddin, was present as the chief guest. HE Young-sik, The Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh, graced the occasion as a special guest.
Additionally, Md. Shahriar, President of the Bangladesh Garment Accessories and Packaging Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGAPMEA), Former President and Advisor Mohammad Moazzem Hossain Moti, Chairman of the Trade Fair Committee Hasanul Karim Tamiz, Managing Director of ASK Trade Show and Exhibitions Private Limited Md. Tipu Sultan Bhuyan, and Director of the organization Nanda Gopal K. along with representatives from various industry-related institutions were present at the inauguration ceremony.
For the past 21 years, GTB has been organizing exhibitions showcasing global technologies in the apparel sector.
These exhibitions offer opportunities to view a wide range of ancillary products including cutting, sewing, finishing, embroidery machinery, and retail items for the RMG sector. On the other hand, leading members of BGAPMEA showcase their latest innovations in garment accessories and packaging at the exhibition.
In his speech as the Chief Guest of the ceremony, the Honorable Advisor to the Ministry of Commerce, Textiles, and Jute, Sk. Bashir Uddin said, “Such exhibitions are crucial for advancing Bangladesh's ready-made garment sector. I extend my gratitude to the organizers and participants. To drive the sector forward, we must reduce dependency on fossil fuels and focus on promoting renewable energy. Collaboration between the government and trade organizations can resolve challenges, including policy adjustments and resource shortages.”
HE Young Sik, the Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh, gracing the inaugural ceremony the inauguration ceremony as the special guest, said, “Bangladesh is globally recognized as a key hub for the garment industry, thanks to its strong manufacturing capabilities and rich ecosystem. Korea has consistently invested in Bangladesh and is committed to continuing this partnership in the future. Recognizing the immense potential in Bangladesh's garment industry, Korea is eager to collaborate further to help realize this potential.”
The Bangladeshi Ready-Made Garment (RMG) sector is quite optimistic about 2025. With the decline of inflation in markets like Europe and America, Western buyers are starting to return. Despite political instability and labor unrest, the RMG sector achieved a 6.23% growth in export earnings in 2024. This improvement reflects the sector's resilience and sustainability amidst overall challenges.
The tradeshow will be open to business visitors between 11 am to 7 pm.
