Foreign Secretary urges missions to prioritize services for expat Bangladeshis

Foreign Secretary Md Jashim Uddin has urged the officials of Bangladesh missions abroad to serve the expatriate Bangladeshi community with utmost care and sincerity.

He made the call while speaking at a meeting with the officers and staff members of the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Dubai on Tuesday.

The Foreign Secretary underscored the importance of providing more efficient and effective services to the service seekers by leveraging automation.

He highlighted the recent students' movements in Bangladesh, calling on everyone to work together to achieve the nation’s collective dreams. He said that the interim government is working tirelessly to fulfil the aspirations of the people of Bangladesh.

The Foreign Secretary also highlighted the potential for boosting trade and investment between Bangladesh and the UAE.

He encouraged the missions in the UAE to explore and foster investment opportunities from the host country to further strengthen Bangladesh-UAE bilateral relations.

Consul General of Bangladesh in Dubai, Md. Rashedujjaman, in his welcome remarks, briefed the Foreign Secretary on the Consulate General’s current and future activities.

The Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of Bangladesh in Abu Dhabi Muhammed Mizanur Rahman was present at the meeting.
