Family press conference demanding release from conspiracy case

The family and locals held a press conference and protest rally demanding the unconditional release of Babul Sardar, a resident of Subarnakola village in Kasbamajail union of Pangsha upazila of Rajbari district, from the false conspiracy case.
The press conference was held at 5:30 pm on Sunday at the Pangsha Press Club located in A. Malek Plaza in the municipal town.
Md. Monowar Hossain read out a written statement on behalf of the family at the press conference. In his written statement, he said, “On July 12, late at night (around 3 am), some members of the joint force and masked unidentified people suddenly raided our house. They broke the lock of our house door and entered the house. After searching every room of the house, not finding anything, one member informed on his mobile phone that nothing was found. Then they tore the CCTV camera cable of the house and seized the DBR machine of the CCTV camera.”
The written statement further mentioned, “After not finding anything in the house, our brother Babul Sardar was arrested on the pretext that illegal weapons brought from outside were found in the house. However, Babul Sardar is an innocent farmer, he is not involved in any kind of crime. We demand Babul Sardar’s unconditional release from this conspiracy case.”
At that time, Babul Sardar's daughter Farha Probha said, "My father has been framed. He was not involved in any crime. That night, members of the joint forces and some masked people entered our house and searched it. Then, not finding anything in the house, they brought a rusty weapon from outside and found it in our house. They arrested my father and sent him to jail on a false conspiracy case. We demand the withdrawal of this false conspiracy case and the unconditional release of my father."
Babul Sardar's brother Md. Firoz Uddin, daughter Farha Probha, nephew Nirjon Ahmed Pappu, niece Farhana Akhter Eva, close relatives Md. Monowar Hossain, Md. A. Karim and other family members and local residents were present at the press conference.
Meanwhile, the locals said this was a completely planned and baseless conspiracy. They demanded the immediate withdrawal of the false case filed against Babul Sardar and his unconditional release.
It is mentioned that on Friday night, the army led a raid in the Subarnakhola area of Kosbamajail Union of Pangsha Upazila and arrested Babul Sardar with a single-shooter gun, two rounds of bullets and local weapons. Babul Sardar is the son of the deceased Nazimuddin Sardar of Subarnakhola village.
