Elevated expressway to be toll-free for concert

Pakistani world-renowned artist Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is coming to Dhaka to perform at the 'Echoes of Revolution' concert organized by the 'Spirits of July' platform to stand by the families of those killed and injured in the student-public movement in July-August.

The concert will be held at the capital's Army Stadium on December 21.

Good news is coming one after another around this charity concert. Where a big discount has been kept on the ticket price for students. In addition, army will not charge rent for the Army Stadium, the concert venue.

It was leant that the Dhaka Elevated Expressway Authority will not collect any toll from vehicles on the day of the concert (December 21). Vehicles will be able to enter the elevated expressway toll-free at four entrances - Banani, Army Golf Club, Airport, Kuril Bishwa Road - from 2 pm to 12 am. However, motorcycles will not be covered by this facility. The organizing authority confirmed this information to the media.

Apart from this, considering the traffic zam and public suffering, the Bangladesh Army has decided to open the gates of Jahangir Gate and Zia Colony from 2 pm to 11 pm on this day. During this time, only ambulances carrying patients, patient vehicles, foreign-bound passengers and emergency needs will be allowed to travel through the gates.
