The great 21st February International Mother Language Day and Martyrs' Day '2025' was celebrated in Betagi, Barguna with due dignity and through various programs.

On Thursday at 12:01 am, under the leadership of the President of the Martyrs' Day Celebration Committee and Upazila Executive Officer Md. Bashir Gazi, the day was celebrated by paying tribute to the language martyrs by placing wreaths at the Central Shahid Minar in the heart of the upazila, flying the national flag at half-mast in the correct size and manner, morning ferry, beautiful handwriting, essay competition, discussion meeting, distribution of prizes and prayers in memory of the martyrs.

On Friday at 11 am, a discussion meeting was organized by the upazila administration where President of the Mother Language Day and Martyrs' Day Celebration Committee and UNO Md.Bashir Gazi presided over.

It was attended by Betagi Govt College Principal Samar Kumar Bepari, Betagi Police Station OC Moniruzzaman, Betagi Girls' School and College Principal Md. Shahin, Upazila BNP Member Secretary Golam Sarwar Riyad Khan, Betagi Municipality BNP Member Secretary Mizanur Rahman Khan, Upazila Engineer Sheikh Toufiq Aziz, Upazila Primary Education Officer Md. Wahidur Rahman, Upazila Fisheries Officer Md. Turan, Upazila Social Service Officer Md. Masum Billah, Upazila BNP Former Joint Secretary S.M. Nurul Islam Panna, Upazila Jamaat Secretary Lecturer Md. Shahadat Hossain and other representatives from various levels.

In addition, Betagi Municipality, Betagi Police Station, Betagi Govt College, Upazila and Municipal BNP, Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal, individuals, institutions and various socio-cultural organizations paid tributes by placing flowers at the local Shaheed Minar.
