Dengue: 5 more die in 24 hours

Five more people died from dengue, and 274 were admitted to hospitals with the mosquito-borne disease in the 24 hours till Wednesday morning, according to the health directorate.
Among the latest deaths, four are from the capital and one from Khulna division.
With the latest fatalities the year’s total death toll has reached 556, with most deaths occurring in the Dhaka South region. About 233 people have died in hospitals located in Dhaka South City Corporation, while 103 have died in Dhaka North City Corporation areas.
About 99,569 dengue patients have been hospitalised, so far this year.
