Coast Guard operation : 5 miscreants detained while illegally extracting sandsin Kabutarkhola area

The Bangladesh Coast Guard has detained five miscreants along with 04 dredgers while illegally extracting sand in Kabutarkhola area of Louhajang upazila of Munshiganj.
Lieutenant Commander Md. Siam-ul-Haq, Media Officer of Coast Guard Headquarters, gave this information on Saturday afternoon.
Based on secret information, BCG Composite Station Padma and Station Pagla conducted an operation to eliminate illegal dredgers in Kabutarkhola area of Louhajang upazila from 0150 hrs to 0805 hrs on Saturday, December 28, 2024. During the operation, 05 miscreants along with 04 dredgers were arrested while illegally extracting sand.
The detained dredger and the miscreants were later handed over to the Assistant Commissioner (Land), Louhjang for legal action.
