Coast Guaed joins with joint forces to control fire in St. Martin

Bangladesh Coast Guard joined with joint forces to control fire at resorts in West Beach of St.Martin Island.
Lieutenant Commander Md. Siam-ul-Haq, Media Officer of the Coast Guard Headquarters, gave this information on Wednesday noon.
On Wednesday at 2:30 pm, the Station Commander, Coast Guard Station St. Martin was informed by the emergency service 999 about the fire at Beach Valley Eco Resort adjacent to West Beach. Immediately, the firefighting and rescue team of BCG Station St. Martin went to the spot and started fire control activities.
Beach Valley Eco Resort was completely burnt down in the fire. In addition, the reception of Sayari Eco Resort and some parts of the beach site of Kingshuk Resort were burnt down. Finally, at approximately 05:30 am, the fire was brought under control with the combined efforts of the Bangladesh Navy, Coast Guard, BGB and the local public. Initially, it was learned that the fire started from an electrical short circuit and solar panel at the reception of Sayari Eco Resort on the north side of Beach Valley Resort.
There were no casualties among the tourists and local people of the 03 resorts in the fire incident.
