BRAC Bank adds nine more remittance partners globally
Staff Correspondent
BRAC Bank has expanded its international remittance network by adding nine more world-renowned exchange companies to its rapidly growing global footprint to cater to Bangladeshi wage earners.
Of the new exchange companies, three are in the United Kingdom, two in Singapore, one each in Japan, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand. And as BRAC Bank is known for its fast and secure digital remittance channels, Bangladeshi expatriates in those countries will experience unparalleled comfort and convenience from now on.
This expansion goes beyond providing a mere transactional service; it opens up a world of possibilities for remitters, offering them a diverse range of options to send money home. Not to mention, many of these partners offer app-based cashless transaction facilities to the remitters, enabling a purely digital remittance experience. Moreover, the migrants can send money directly to their BRAC Bank accounts in instant, real time transactions, and avail all the functionalities of internet banking, powered by Astha Super App.
With this move, BRAC Bank has further connected the remittance beneficiaries to expatriates from all corners of the world ― from the Middle East to Southeast Asia and from the Far East to the USA, the UK and Africa.
Commenting on the remittance network expansion, Selim R.F. Hussain, MD and CEO of BRAC Bank, said: “BRAC Bank is not just facilitating remittance; we are redefining the experience. Our new partnerships signify a decisive step toward making the remittance process faster, more user-friendly, and affordable.”
“BRAC Bank believes that its journey with the migrants and their beneficiaries does not stop at remittance, rather it’s just the beginning. We offer a 360° product suite for these customers. Starting from savings accounts to loan facilities, we aspire to deliver them financial literacy and counselling ― with the end goal of guiding them toward complete financial inclusion. We are committed to contributing to national development by channeling inward remittance in the banking channel,” he elaborated.
The bank’s digital channels aside, remittance beneficiaries can also pick up cash from BRAC Bank's 187 branches, 36 sub-branches, and 1,040 Agent Banking outlets.
On top of sending remittance, Bangladeshi migrants can also email to probashi@bracbank.com to avail all sorts of banking services e.g. opening Probashi accounts, NFCD accounts, issuing FD and DPS, purchasing government NRB bonds etc. directly from the products team of BRAC Bank.
