A meeting and distribution of winter clothes were held at the union level in Doha, Dhaka, on the instructions of Tarique Rahman to convey the '31 points of state reform' announced by BNP to the grassroots level.

Dhaka District BNP President Khandaker Abu Ashfaq inaugurated the week-long blanket distribution program as winter clothes among the helpless cold-stricken people of the upazila since January 2.

From Friday (January 3) noon, Doha Upazila BNP organized a meeting and distribution of winter clothes in 4 unions along with the meeting to convey the '31 points of state reform' to the grassroots level. The unions are Narisha, Raipara, Nayabari and Mahmudpur unions.

Dhaka District BNP President Khandaker Abu Ashfaq was present as the chief guest at the meeting and winter clothes program presided over by Upazila BNP President Nazrul Islam Mecher.

During the meeting in the courtyard and the distribution of winter clothes, Abu Ashfaq said, the common people of the country vote and elect public representatives to live in peace and security. We are working towards that goal under the guidance of Tarique Rahman through the 31-point state reform announced by BNP. Just as the late Ziaur Rahman himself implemented 19 points for state reform and repaired the state with the common people, BNP will work towards that goal again in the future when it comes to power.

We will hold meetings in every ward and neighborhood to stand by the poor and suffering people during the winter and improve their quality of life. We will stand by the people of the country.
