Associate of notorious 'Choton Bahini ' in Sundarbans arrested

An associate of the notorious Sundarbans bandit 'Choton Bahini' was arrested along with weapons and ammunition in a joint operation by the Coast Guard and Navy in Koyra, Khulna.
This information was given by Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haq on Tuesday morning.
He said, based on secret information, it was learned that the notorious robbers of the Sundarbans, the Choton Bahini, were preparing to commit a robbery in the Khashitana Canal area adjacent to the Raynadi under the Koyra police station of Khulna district. Based on the information received, a joint operation was conducted in the area at 9 am on Monday by the Coast Guard Station Koyra and the Naval Contingent Koyra. During the operation, the expeditionary team chased the robbers and arrested 1 associate of the Choton Bahini along with 1 single-barrel gun, 2 rounds of live cartridges and 3 rounds of blank cartridges.
Initial interrogation revealed that the arrested robber associate Sagar Sheikh (Nav Muslim) alias Joy Sheel (41) is a resident of Koyra police station in Khulna district. He had been cooperating with the Chhotan Bahini in robberies and supplying weapons, ammunition and logistics to the robber group for a long time.
The process of taking further legal action against the seized weapons and ammunition and the arrested accused is under process.
