Access Bangladesh Foundation with the support of APNIC Foundation via the Information Society Innovation Fund (ISIF Asia) arranged a day long Capacity building training for Women Entrepreneurs with Disabilities on Digital Entrepreneurship in DASCOH Foundation, Rajshahi. Selected women entrepreneurs with disabilities from the Rajshahi district received training on 19th December 2024. The objective of the training was to equip women entrepreneurs with disabilities with the skills needed to engage in e-commerce platforms, thus enabling them to overcome the barriers they face in traditional business approach.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Mollah, Co-founder and Executive Director of Access Bangladesh Foundation highlighted the significant challenges that women entrepreneurs with disabilities encounter, including difficulties in product sales, networking, financial management, customer service, and digital literacy. He emphasized that online business offers a smart solution to these challenges, as it eliminates the need for physical shop and allows business operations to be managed from home.

Additionally, online marketplaces provide greater access to a vast number of potential buyers, making it an opportune time to leverage technology to improve the lives of women entrepreneurs with disabilities.

The comprehensive training enhanced participants' knowledge and understanding in various critical areas, including entrepreneurship, small enterprise management, effective use of online platforms, capturing and posting quality product photos, legal procedures for managing a business, the marketing mix, online banking, delivery service management, social media strategies, and government facilities available to women entrepreneurs with disabilities.

Upon the conclusion of the training, Mr. Albert Mollah examined the products created by women entrepreneurs with disabilities.
