A youth body was recovered 7 days after the disappearance

Police have recovered the decapitated body of a CNG driver named Helal Uddin ,22 from Doba seven days after he went missing in Muradnagar, Cumilla. The half-dead body was found in a pond next to the New Three-Star Bricks Field on the Nabipur-Srikail road in the upazila on Tuesday early morning.
The deceased was identified as Hiran Miah of Rahimpur village under Nabipur West union of Helal Uddin upazila. He is a CNG driver by profession.
It is learned that on Monday evening, the workers of New Three-Star Bricks Field in Nabipur area went to work at Bhata and saw the body floating in a nearby pond and informed the police. Upon receiving the news, the police recovered the body from the pond.
Sabuj Mia, uncle of the deceased, said that his nephew Helal Uddin left his sister's house in Nabipur Dakshinpara on Tuesday afternoon after receiving an invitation. Even though it was late in the evening and he did not come home, we searched for him in different places but could not find him. In the afternoon, the police recovered the half-dead body of my nephew from the pond. I want the execution of Helal's killers.
Muradnagar Police Station OC Sadequr Rahman said the body had a sharp knife wound in the neck and abdomen. The body will be sent to Cumilla Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. A murder case has been filed in this incident.
