6 drug dealers arrested in separate anti-drug operations in Kaliganj

In a separate anti-drug operation in Kaliganj, police arrested six drug dealers including heroin, marijuana and yaba.
The operation was conducted in Baktarpur and Nagri unions of the upazila and Kaliganj municipality on Sunday night and Monday morning. The matter was confirmed by Kaliganj Police Station OC Mohammad Alauddin.
The OC said, on Sunday midnight, based on a secret tip-off, Md. Shukur Ali (55) was arrested with 500 grams of marijuana in a litchi garden in Kauchan area of Baktarpur union.
That night, two other police teams conducted two separate operations in Baligaon and Senpara areas of the municipality and Nagri union. In the operation, 20 two grams of heroin were recovered from the house of Md. Golam Mohiuddin (45), and Md. Golam Mohiuddin (45), Md. Shahadat Hossain Shakil (27) and Md. Munna Mia (27) were arrested from the scene. Another police team conducted a raid in front of A. Samad's house in Senpara village and arrested Md. Panir Hossain (45) and recovered 10 pieces of Yaba.
On Monday morning, a raid was conducted at Mecca Pharmacy located at Old Bank intersection and Anik was arrested with 140 grams of marijuana. Four separate cases were filed.
