49,723 Covid-19 booster doses administered in Rangpur Friday

More 49,723 booster doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered in Rangpur division on Friday on the last day of the weeklong Covid-19 booster dose campaign.
Health officials said a total of 53,149 more doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered on Friday raising the number of inoculated vaccines to two crore 95 lakh 93 thousand and 646 doses in the division.
Among the 53,149 doses of the jabs inoculated on Friday, 589 were administered as the first doses, 2,837 as the second doses and 49,723 as the booster doses.
"Till Friday, a total of 1,35,52,316 people got the first doses of Covid-19 jabs, and of them, 1,29,70,363 got the second doses and 30,70,967 got the booster doses," Divisional Director (Health) Dr. Abu Md. Zakirul Islam told BSS today.
Meanwhile, the number of Covid-19 infected patients remained steady at 64,146 in the division as no fresh positive cases were diagnosed on Friday.
The number of healed Covid-19 patients remained steady at 62,785 in the division where no new patients recovered during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am today.
"Besides, the number of casualties also remained steady at 1,284 in the division as no new deaths were reported during the last 24 hours," Dr. Islam said.
