35 arrested on various charges in Rajshahi

A total of 35 people have been arrested in a joint force operation in Rajshahi metropolis, including 4 in Operation Devil Hunt, by Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) police station and DB police.
Like the rest of the country, 'Operation Devil Hunt' has been conducted to prevent instability in Rajshahi metropolis. In the last 24 hours ending on Thursday 4 people have been arrested on charges of attacking the anti-discrimination student movement, causing explosions, terrorist activities and other crimes. In addition, 31 people have been arrested in the RMP operation, including 13 people with warrants, 2 in drug cases and 16 in other crimes.
Those arrested in Operation Devil Hunt are Md. Abdul Awal (45), Md. Naeem Hossain (20), Md. Mohin Hossain Alif (22) and Md. Shakil Hossain (19).
Awami League activist Abdul Awal is the son of Md. Hatem Kassai of Hosniganj area of Boalia Model Police Station in Rajshahi metropolis, Chhatra League activist Naeem Hossain is the son of Md. Afroz of Pathanpara area of the same police station, Shakil Hossain is the son of Md. Rajab Ali of Meherchandi area and Mahin Hossain is the son of Md. Afzal Hossain of Kajla area of Motihar Police Station.
Legal action has been taken against the arrested accused.
