250 families get Covid-19 safety items in Sherpur

Corona virus (COVID-19) safety items were distributed among 250 families at the initiative of Citizen Platform Jana Udyog Committee and in collaboration with the private development agency Institute for Environment and Development (IED) in Sherpur recently.

On the occasion, a distribution was held at the Harijan Palli in Sajbarkhila area Andharia Sutirpar area of Sadar upazila.

District convener of Jana Udyog Abul Kalam Azad inaugurated the distribution of COVID-19 safety items at Harijan Palli in Sajbarkhila.

Educationist professor Shiv Shankar Karua, joint secretary of district women's council Anjuman Ara Jhui, women entrepreneur Irene Parveen, youth harijan leader Mukta Harijan, controversial Shubhankar Saha, women's blood donation organization member Tithi Nandi and others were present.

On the other hand, distribution of COVID-19 safety items were distributed among the third gender (Hijra) community living in Guchhgram as the dream address in Andharia Sutirpar area of Sadar upazila in the afternoon.

After the program, safety items were distributed among the disabled, Dalit-harijans, porters, hawkers, mic preachers, flat workers, transport workers of Nabinagar area including women workers and low income workers of Balaier Char and Pakuria areas of the upazila.

District social service registration officer Md Arifur Rahman, Jana Udyog district secretary Hakim Babul, madrasa teacher Moniruzzaman Monir, volunteer Simon, Hasin Jafir and others were present on the program.
