Various programmes on National Fisheries Week in Gafargaon

A rally, release of fish fry, documentary film screening, discussion meeting and award distribution were held in Gafargaon, Mymensingh on the occasion of National Fisheries Week-2025.
A rally started from the Upazila Parishad premises at 11 am on Monday. The rally ended at the Upazila Parishad premises after circumambulating various roads. Later, fish fry were released in the Upazila Parishad pond. After that, a discussion meeting was held in the Upazila Parishad meeting room and 3 successful fish farmers were awarded.
UNO N. M. Abdullah Al Mamun was the chief guest at the event, presided over by Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Tahmina Khatun. Upazila Agriculture Officer Shakura Namni, Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Matiur Rahman, successful fish farmers Shafiqul Islam Sabuj, Shakhawat Hossain and Belayet Hossain, among others, spoke at the event.
