Student politics should be constructive : Shibir President

The central president of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, Jahidul Islam said, student politics should be constructive and conducted in an orderly manner.
In this post-uprising period, we do not support mudslinging politics. Students never appreciate that, he said.
Addressing student organizations, the Shibir president said, “You should present your agenda, what you want to do, what you want to say, and what you wish to
contribute to society. Similarly, others will present their ideas. Among these, students will choose what appeals to them.
He made these remarks on Friday at the Sonar Bangla Community Center in Subidbazar, Sylhet, during a freshe;s reception and career guideline program organized for newly admitted students of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).He further added, t;It is disappointing that some are trying to drag student politics back into its previous state of corruption. Therefore, we request you (students) to understand that while joining Shibir may not be necessary for you, you can still study and learn about the messages Chhatra Shibir wants to convey. We hope you will explore how Shibir aims to develop a student and understand it with an open
and thoughtful mind.”The event was presided over by SUST Shibir President Tarek Monwar and conducted by Secretary Masud Rana Tuhin. Central leaders of the organization,along with former and current leaders of the SUST branch, were also present at the event.
