
Schoolboy killed, 6 injured in three-way collision in Narail

A schoolboy named Apu Biswas (17) was killed in a three-way collision between two motorcycles and a van in Narail. At least six others were injured in the incident. Ujjwal Roy, district representative from Narail, said that the accident occurred at Mirzapur-Sonadanga intersection on the Narail-Khulna district road at around 2 pm on Tuesday.
The deceased Apu Biswas is a class 10 student of Gobra Parvati Vidyapeeth. He is the son of Natu Biswas of Gobra village.

Among the injured, two motorcycle riders, Shakib (20), were sent to Dhaka, while Narayan (28) and the other rider, Sukdev (50), were sent to Jessore and Khulna for better treatment. In addition, the van driver and two passengers were taken to Khulna for treatment by their relatives from the scene.
According to local sources, two friends Shakib and Apu were heading towards Sikirhat from Narail on Tuesday afternoon. On the other hand, a hired motorcycle driver named Narayan Biswas was returning to Narail from Khulna's Phultala with passengers. On the way, after crossing Mirzapur Bazar and reaching Sonadanga intersection, his recklessly speeding motorcycle crashed into another motorcycle and a van. Shakib's friend Apu Biswas, who was riding the motorcycle, died on the spot. Meanwhile, the condition of two other injured people including Shakib is also critical. On the other hand, the injured van driver and two other passengers have been taken to Khulna.
