National and International Youth Day was celebrated in Porsha Naogaon with the theme “Technology-based youth power, progress in multilateral partnerships” on Tuesday.
A youth rally, oath-taking and discussion meeting were organized by the Upazila Administration and Youth Officer’s Office. After the rally, Youth Development Officer Rafiqul Islam presided over a discussion meeting at the Upazila Parishad auditorium. UNO Rakibul Islam was the chief guest. At the end of the meeting, the chief guest handed over loan checks of Tk 1 lakh each to two young men and a young woman. Earlier, UNO Rakibul Islam administered the oath to all present for the overall welfare of Bangladesh achieved in the July Uprising.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nabila Ferdous, Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam, Agriculture Officer Mamunur Rashid, Primary Education Officer Sajjad Hossain, Project Implementation Officer Mahmudul Haque Titu, URC Instructor Ashraful Alam, along with officials from various departments and teachers of educational institutions were present.
