Youth loan cheques have been distributed to youth and young women trained by the Department of Youth Development in Ashtagram, Kishoreganj for employment purposes.
Upazila Public Health Engineer Md. Monir Hossain distributed the check at the Upazila Youth Development Office on Wednesday afternoon.
After three months of training, educated unemployed youth and young women from Deoghar and Bangalpara unions of Ashtagram upazila of Kishoreganj were provided with youth loans of Tk 1 lakh each to expand their farms.
Upazila Youth Development Officer Md. Zahirul Haque presided over the meeting, which was also attended by Assistant Youth Development Officer Nahidul Islam, Cashier Yasmin Akhter and others.
