The annual budget for Kuakata Municipality for the fiscal year 2025–26 and the quarterly meeting were held at 10 am on Monday in Kuakata Municipality Hall Room.

The meeting was presided over by the Administrator of Kuakata Municipality and Assistant Commissioner (Land) of the Upazila, Yasin Sadek.

 Among others present were Inspector Ahaduzzaman of the Kuakata Zone Tourist Police, President of Kuakata Press Club Ruman Imtiaz Tushar, General Secretary of Kuakata Municipality BNP Matiur Rahman, Head Teacher of Kuakata Bangabandhu Secondary School Khalilur Rahman, former Amir of Kuakata Municipality Jamaat Alhaj Maulana Moinul Islam Mannan, President of Mohipur Thana Islami Andolon Alhaj Fazlul Haque Khan, Senior Vice-President of Kuakata Municipality BNP Jasim Uddin Bablu, General Secretary of Sri Sri Radhakrishna Temple Engineer Nihar Ranjan Mondal, and President of the Farmers' Association Ali Hossain Khandakar.

In the meeting on the annual budget and the Urban Development Committee, discussions were held regarding various problems of the municipality and their possible solutions. Additionally, the proposed budget for FY 2025–26 was announced by Municipality Administrator Yasin Sadek.

In the budget, the projected revenue income is Tk 25,17,50,000.00, allocation in the government development sector is Tk 381,000,000.00, and income under capital account is Tk 20,40,000.00. The opening balance stands at Tk 103,291,160.00, making the total projected income Tk 511,506,160.00.

Expenditures include Tk 25,32,00,000.00 in the revenue sector, Tk 397,550,000.00 in the government development sector, and Tk 25,20,000.00 under capital expenditure—totaling Tk 425,390,000.00 in projected expenses.

As per the budget plan, the closing balance at the end of FY 2025–26 will be Tk 86,116,160.00.
