Coast Guard recovers 24- kg of deer skin, venison from Mongla

Coast Guard West Zone has recovered 24 -kg of deer skin and meat from Mongla in a Coast Guard operation.

Coast Guard West Zone Media Officer Lieutenant Mahbub Hossain gave this information at a press briefing on Saturday afternoon.

Based on a secret tip-off, Coast Guard Station Herbaria conducted a special operation in the area adjacent to Joymonirgol Balur Field in Mongla at around 10 pm on Friday, April 13. During the operation, a search was conducted in the area and 24 kg of deer meat along with a deer skin was recovered and a wooden boat used for hunting was seized. At this time, the deer hunters fled after sensing the presence of the Coast Guard.

The seized deer skin, meat and wooden boat have been handed over to the Nandawala Forest Office for legal action.

The Bangladesh Coast Guard has continued its patrols 24 hours a day to maintain the law and order situation in the country. The official also said that such operations will continue in the future.
