Task force continues drive in Kishoreganj kitchen markets

In accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Commerce for market monitoring in maintaining reasonable prices, a task force conducted an operation at the kitchen markets Kishoreganj 's Bara Bazar on Friday morning.
The operation was led by Executive Magistrate Samiul Islam, Assistant Director (AD) of DNCRP, Rahdoy Ronjon Bonik. CAB district president Alam Sarowar Tito, Agri Marketing Officer Shikha Begum and dignified officials were also present.
A total of Tk. 12,000 was fined as 9 vegetables vendors were found taking high prices of their vegetable items reasonlessly.
0n Thursday evening, the task force conducted drive at khirodha Bazar, fined a wholesaler rice trader tk.20,000 for manipulated trading.
The task force uncovered various manipulative practices among the vegetable vendors in Bara Bazar including wholesalers, middlemen, and retailers.
The vendors were found to be operating entirely without documentation, lacking both purchase and sales receipts, and conducting their business according to their wish.
